Waterfront Southbank Sanctuary by the Yarra River

Positive: Great location, spacious apartment. This is the second time we have stayed here and both times it has been after my son has had orthopaedic surgery. The apartment is very spacious and a walk in shower which is great when you have a wheelchair and ambulating short distances on crutches. The views are lovely and when you are recovering from major surgery being able to lie on the couch and have a great view helps. There are so many restaurants close by as well as a Woolworths supermarket a 7 minute walk away. The kitchen and cooking facilities within the apartment are great. Negative: The aircon/heating was a little tricky to use. Detailed instructions as to how but a very long list to follow! Got there in the end!

Overall a nice unit, just unfortuakte about the hot water and air con. Positive: Location was fantastic. Size of apartment was also very good. Negative: No windows opened, aircon dial didn’t work, couldn’t make the room warmer. Luke warm water in both showers, had hot on full and no cold and still Luke warm. Not pleasant in the middle of winter and an aircon that didn’t work properly.
